Geocrystal Earth Geometric Glass Chandelier
Geocrystal Earth Geometric Glass Chandelier
In the process of developing the Chandelier, we were inspired by the research of Soviet scientists on the icosahedron-dodecahedral structure of the Earth and the theory of the geocrystal.
The essence of this theory is that a lot of ancient structures and things on the ground are tied to nodes and power lines.
The pattern of these nodes and lines is determined by the shape of the crystalline core and processes in the inner layers of the Earth.
The deltoidal hexecontahedron is a semi-regular polyhedron (catalan's body), a dual rhombicosododecahedron.
It is composed of 60 identical convex deltoids. It has 120 edges - 60 "long" (together forming something like a "swollen" skeleton of an icosahedron) and 60 "short" (forming a "swollen" skeleton of a dodecahedron). This figure not have a Hamiltonian path among its vertices.
This chandelier evokes delight and surprise then as the possibilities of intersecting lines - forming symmetry and asymmetry 12 possible combinations you can observe at different angles.
It is completely hand work with a huge amount of time spent with high accuracy.

Over time, the chandelier will become covered with dust and you will need to wash it. To do this, we recommend choosing a comfortable place in the bath and preparing a plane with a soft cloth there so that the figure stands steadily. Use hot water and regular dishwashing detergent all components must not contain abrasives and the sponge must be special for glass as you can leave small scratches on the glass or damage the color of the chandelier. Wipe dry with a soft cloth after washing. Perform all actions without pressure and when not holding on to an open area or one glass, use two hands when washing and transporting the chandelier.
